About Naturopathic Medicine

"A part can never be well unless the whole is well."
- Plato
Naturopathic medicine is a unique system of primary healthcare that emphasizes a holistic approach to health by focusing on the root cause of illness.  Treatment modalities include botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, Traditional Asian Medicine and acupuncture, homeopathic medicine, hydrotherapy and lifestyle counseling.  The different naturopathic modalities are used to improve the health and well-being of all patients with an emphasis on individualized, holistic treatment by combining current scientific research with the principles of naturopathic philosophy, and faith in the healing power of nature.

Naturopathic Doctors in Ontario are registered and regulated by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.

What to Expect

The initial appointment is approximately 90 minutes in duration.  A thorough health history as well as family history will be discussed in this visit, along with the current chief concerns.  A focused physical exam will also be part of this visit. Health goals will be discussed and an initial treatment plan will be recommended at the end of the appointment.

Subsequent appointments will be 30-60 minutes in length, depending on the nature of the concern and treatment plan.  In these visits, your progress will also be monitored to ensure that all of your health goals are being met.
